Santa Fe Top Residential Neighborhoods
When it comes to great neighborhoods in Santa Fe, you can’t go wrong with a few of these options that offer everything from historic charm to the appeal of adobe-style homes on classic dirt roads. Some prefer the downtown history while others prefer the Santa Fe pueblo style that will offer an authentic residential feel. Whichever you prefer, you’ll find a little bit of everything in these top neighborhoods around Santa Fe.
Historic Guadalupe
Check out the Guadalupe neighborhood, known for offering old charm and character within the community while residents enjoy both new homes and renovated ones. Homes are situated close together offering a quaint and humble residence in this historical place.
The neighborhood sits along Camino Real, the road back to Mexico, and was once a popular road for travelers to gather and unload supplies. Today, it expands to be the home of the historic Santa Fe Southern Railroad and feature live galleries and studios.
West Alameda
If you crave a killer view, check out West Alameda for options like Casa Solana or Puesta del Sol. This is a great location to be near downtown while enjoying beautiful views from your home.
Historic Eastside
For home variety and authentic dirt roads, check out Historic Eastside, filled with small homes and large estates. You’ll find adobe homes and huge, elegant homes throughout this area, with Canyon Road being the heart of the neighborhood.
The Northwest
For those that prefer rolling hills and picturesque views, check out the Northwest between Highway 285 North and the Rio Grande River. You’ll find some of the most expensive homes in town located here with acreage starting at 1 and going up to 20+ for some lots.
South Capitol
For condo living and other rentals, South Capitol between the Old Santa Fe Trail and the State Capitol complex has some wonderful options. There are some excellent options near the Capitol and several homes have been renovated from their origin of the 40s and 50s.
Southeast
If you are looking for a golf community, check out the Southeast part of town where Quail Run lives, featuring a 9-hole course within its gated community. You’ll also find the Southeast featuring pueblo-style homes in the mature neighborhood of DeVargas Heights, as well as a private, country neighborhood at Sol y Lomas.
